Temora Airpark Resident Taxi Way Operations at Natfly 2012

Mr. Temora Airpark Resident
TENEFTS ST
TEMORA NSW 2666

Dear Airpark resident,

Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus) will be holding their national fly in, Natfly at Temora over Easter,
Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of April.

With Temora Shire Council and Temora Aviation Museum assistance, Natfly 2012 promises to be a bigger
and more community involved event than ever.

RA-Aus are very aware of the disruption events such as Natfly can pose to local residents and we would
like to ask for your assistance and understanding during high traffic times leading up to and following
Natfly.

However, in order to ensure the Safety and Risk Management Plan developed by RA-Aus is followed; we
will be closing Taxiway Charlie and Echo between Thursday 5th and Sunday 8th April to unescorted aircraft
traffic.

We do not want to stop local residents from flying their aircraft over this period, however as there will
be members of the public on the apron area we have implemented this measure to minimise the risk of
conflict between pedestrians and aircraft.

Accordingly, if you intend to fly during the times mentioned above, prior to starting your aircraft, pilots
must contact Ground Ops on 129.9 and request a Marshall to escort their aircraft to the runway. Start up
approval will be given once the Marshall is in place and able to escort your aircraft safely to the runways.

Upon your return to Temora, and once you are established in the circuit, include the phrase “local
resident” in your cross wind call. This will ensure that once you have cleared the runway and changed to
ground (129.9), that the Marshall will be able to escort you back to your hangar.

We would also remind pilots to refer to the AIP Supplement and NOTAM information for Natfly as there
will also be a brief period during Friday and Saturday where an aerobatics display may occur, which
will require activation of R406 for approximately 25 minutes. This can be accessed from our website
www.natfly.com.au. Any pilots intending to fly during Natfly are required to attend the 8.00am pilot
briefing held in the RA-Aus HQ marquee.

RA-Aus appreciates your understanding during this time and look forward to a safe and problem free
Natfly 2012 for all involved.
